Many times in our lives we try to change things that are perfectly normal. Things that don't need any modification or change but we try we fix it even if it is not broken. We try to make things different, make a working gadget faster, smaller and better. That's good if you work in a research and development lab in a company. But for most of the time we end destroying the things we are trying to improve. We try to make things faster but end up damaging it like for example trying to overclock the CPU of our computer, what happens is the CPU heats up and later on gets damaged because of the heat. That is one of the examples where can put the phrase “Don't fix what ain't broken”.
I have read some articles and some essays about not sweating the small stuff. To learn to be contented with what you have. Based on research papers, most of the time our urge to improve a perfectly working gadget or item is that we are not satisfied with it. If we only learn to count our blessing then we could appreciate more things that we have.
